Mission Honor

Honoring Kentucky Veterans

We will host our inaugural Mission Honor event on May 15, 2027. Learn more about the one-day event to honor and celebrate our nation's heroes here in Kentucky.

We're hosting a one-day event called Mission Honor to salute and thank Kentucky veterans. Thirty-four military veterans will be selected to participate from across the state. The event will be cost-free for participating veterans.

On May 15, 2027, sponsored veterans will meet in Elizabethtown for a tour of the Vietnam Wall Memorial, the Patton Museum, a celebration lunch and a special ceremony at the Veterans Tribute park. Veterans will be sponsored (and contacted) by their local co-op for full event details upon selection.

All are invited to attend the ceremony and "thank you" portion of the day at 4 p.m., located at the Elizabethtown Nature Park (1900 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, Ky.).

As a cooperative, we're committed to the communities we serve and this is one small way for us to celebrate our local heroes.

Mission Honor is a day to salute veterans, encourage camaraderie and reflection, as well as ensuring they know their service is appreciated.

Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives have long been supporters of veterans, and this event is our newest way of saying "thank you."

We absolutely encourage everyone to help us honor veterans!

The public is invited to attend the special ceremony and appreciation celebration at the end of Mission Honor on May 15 by 4 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Veterans Tribute are in the Elizabethtown Nature Park (1900 Ring Road). Bring the whole family to greet sponsored veterans and say "thank you!"

We also invite letters and notes of appreciation for veterans. We will hand them out at the end of the day so that participants can enjoy and read them after the Mission Honor event. Please drop off letters at your local co-op office or mail to: EKPC, Mission Honor, PO Box 707, Winchester, KY 40392 by April 30, 2027.
